The best hope to lose body fat is to focus on exercise that will maximize the caloric expenditure for the time expended. The truth is we should work harder, not longer, if we want to lose body fat and burn calories. We are still being victimized by the aerobics craze of the seventies and eighties. Just get in that target heart rate zone and burn fat? I don't think so. Take a walk, work in the garden? Fat chance. Maybe that's where the term fat chance came from. If you really want to get fit, you need to work harder, not longer.
